Playa Colorado is a river break fifteen minutes south of Popoyo, lefts and rights over sand, on a southwest swell with a north-easterly offshore and good at every stage of the tide.
Its July figure matches the rest of this coast almost exactly: twenty-seven clean days out of thirty, one blown out, two too small. Three breaks along here return the same three numbers, which is worth knowing for what it means. The figure describes a stretch of coastline under one wind, not the character of any single wave.
What separates this one is the crowd, and the reason behind it. It is rarely crowded, because the beach is private and access runs through the development behind it. Check how your camp gets you onto the sand before you book, because the answer is not the same for every camp in the village.
