The climate in Taghazout
Taghazout enjoys a mild, sunny climate all year round. On Morocco's Atlantic coast, the village gets maritime influences that keep temperatures even, right through winter.
With more than 300 days of sunshine a year, Taghazout is one of the most comfortable places in the world to surf in any season.
The seasons in detail
Every season in Taghazout has something going for it. Here is what to expect from each.
- Autumn (September – November): pleasant temperatures, the water still warm, and the first real swells arriving.
- Winter (December – February): peak surf season. The most consistent swells of the year.
- Spring (March – May): conditions stay excellent and there are fewer people than in winter.
- Summer (June – August): small waves, but ideal conditions to learn in.
There is no bad time to come to Taghazout. There are only different expectations.
