Yoff Beach is the long sand beach east of Ngor on the peninsula's north shore, breaking left and right on the same north-west swell that feeds the reefs, with a south-south-easterly offshore.
September gives six clean days out of thirty, fourteen blown out and nine too small. Slightly behind Ngor, and on this coast that is the wind rather than the beach.
Two things put a first week here rather than at Ngor. The bottom is sand, and no hazard is listed at all, which across four Senegalese sheets is true of this one only. That does not mean nothing is there, it means nobody has recorded anything, and on an open beach the thing to ask a school about is the current.
It is a working fishing beach as well as a surf beach, with pirogues drawn up on the sand and a village behind it. Sessions here happen alongside a place that is not about surfing, which most people count as the reason to come rather than a complication.
