La Cícer is the southern end of Las Canteras, past the point where the rock bar stops sheltering the beach. Sand, lefts and rights, any tide, on a north-north-westerly swell with a south-south-easterly offshore, and it breaks on most days of the season.
December is its best month: sixteen clean days out of thirty, seven blown out, seven too small. Those are better odds than the famous reef at the other end of the same beach, and they belong to the place where the island's schools put their beginners.
It is a city beach, and it is sometimes crowded, by surfers in the water and by everyone else on the sand. Nothing on the bottom will hurt you. The thing to learn here is the line-up itself: where the schools sit, where the locals sit, and how to stay out of both.

A month in figures
In December, the month the forecast guides single out for this coast:
Shares of the month, from the published forecast statistics. The model reads a grid, so neighbouring breaks share a figure: this describes a stretch of coast, not this wave on its own. The other eleven months are not published.
