Lazy Left opens the Midigama run at its western end, and the name is the description: it peels rather than throws. It is the least vertical of the four, which makes it where you meet reef for the first time if you have come up from the beach at Weligama.
Nobody on it most of the time, on a coast where everybody funnels onto three or four known names. Five minutes of walking takes you from the crowd to an empty line-up.
Rock in the line-up, as everywhere here: you pick your way in and you do not fall wherever you like. It is the step to take before Rams Right two hundred metres along, which forgives nothing.
