Cathedral Point sits a kilometre north of Imsouane port, on the far side of the bay. Where La Baie is long and forgiving, Cathedral is shorter, faster and less forgiving: a right-hand point over mixed rock and sand, with sections that stand up and barrel at low tide.
It is the experienced surfer's counterpart to the wave the village is known for. Both want the same conditions, a northwest swell and an easterly offshore, so a session here is a choice: you leave the bay because you want something steeper, not because the bay is not working.
Best at low tide. That is when it barrels, and when it forgives least.
