June is the second of the four peak months and the pattern is set. Groundswell arrives from the south-west without long gaps, the Tola reefs are on, and the wind out of the lake keeps the mornings and often the whole day clean.
What separates June from May is the rain, which is heavier and more regular now. That is not a reason to avoid it: it falls in the afternoon and evening, the swell it comes with is the point of the trip, and the water is at 29°C so a wet day is not a cold one. It is also the last month before the July and August crowd arrives.
