November is the reverse of April. The Southern Hemisphere is winding down, the south-west groundswell arrives less and less through the month, and the north-west swell that runs the dry season takes over at two to five feet.

The weather improves in the same weeks. The rain stops, the sky clears, and the roads on the Tola coast dry out. That combination, small waves and good weather, is why November to January is the sweet spot for people learning and why it is high season for everybody who is not here for the surf. The water is at 28°C.

One of the best months of the year to start. Small, warm, sunny and offshore, on beaches that have space again.
