The Main Point wraps the headland at the south end of the bay, and it is the wave in every photograph. A long right that holds its shape, and the only one of the four points breaking over coral: that does not make it a wall, it makes it a wave you cannot fall on carelessly.
It is also the only one with anybody on it. Everybody stops at the first point and nobody pushes on to the other three, and by seven in the morning in August you can see the result.
The water is 28 °C, so cold is never the question here: finding a peak is. If you are starting out, Whiskey Point is twenty minutes north and will not ask the same of you.
