November is a full autumn month in the water. The lows are lined up, Llangennith has something almost every weekend, and the size steps up from October without yet becoming unmanageable.
The daylight is what changes the weekend. Sunset moves back past five and then past half past four, and a Saturday that starts with a two-hour drive has one shot at getting it right. In October you can check the west end, find it wrong and be at Langland by lunch; in November that same mistake costs the day.
The water is down to 12°C and heading for the winter. This is the last month before the kit gets serious, and the last one where somebody driving up from Bristol on a Saturday morning can still expect a full session at the end of it.
