November opens the high season, and that needs saying plainly because the opposite is often written: this is not a quiet month. Swell reaches 2.2 m at 12.5 seconds, its annual peak, wind is workable seventeen days out of thirty again, and both crowds and prices step up to high. Camps want six to eight weeks' notice.

The catch is the weather. 7.6 hours of sun a day, tied with January for the annual minimum, and 42.3 mm of rain across three days, the second wettest month. Water eases back to 19 °C, air to 24 °C.

November gives the best swell of the year with the worst weather of the year. October and March offer nearly the same wave without that trade.

Learning in November

For learning : Good

November is a month where a beginner picks the spot rather than takes what comes, and where a camp that moves its lessons to follow the swell earns its price. Devil's Rock is a sheltered sandbar that stays workable when the points get big, and Imsouane bay forgives at any size. What is not sensible in November is a first lesson on a rocky point at low tide. The month is not closed, it is directive.

On raw data this is the best month of the year. Anchor Point is at its level, Killer Point gives the same walls with far fewer people, and Boilers and La Source absorb the days too big for the points. At 12.5 seconds the swell carries: several spots work at once and the choice comes down to wind.
