September is the first month of the climb, and it is the period that announces it, not the height. Eight seconds becomes 11, which means the trains are arriving from a distance again. Height follows at 1.5 m, and wind is workable fifteen days out of thirty.

August's comfort holds: 21 °C water, 26 °C air, 3.7 mm of rain across the month. Sun eases to 7.8 hours a day, the first sign of autumn.

Crowds and prices drop back to medium the moment European schools go back. This is the first window of the year where real swell and reasonable prices overlap.

Learning in September

For learning : Very good

September is a good month to learn in, and better than August on one specific point: the sandbars finally get enough energy to push a board along without effort, while not yet being too big. Banana Beach, Devil's Rock and Imsouane bay all work, in 21 °C water that allows long sessions. The one thing to watch: at 11 seconds the sets have weight, and a day forecast at 2 m is a day to stay on the sand.

This is the restart. Anchor Point and Killer Point come back on the first episodes, Boilers and La Source before them because they need less size. The quality is not November's yet, but neither is the queue, and 21 °C water does not need a full suit.
